You should be able to read all of it before you sign
In a human-data business, publishing the agreement is not a formality — we think it is what sets us apart. We publish the draft first so you can read it and decide before you apply.
Draft · to be finalised after legal review, before the first capture- Article 1 (Scope of capture)
- Aeffer captures only the items you have consented to. Signals you have not consented to are switched off on the equipment, and if any are captured by mistake we discard the whole session.
- You review the list of items on screen and sign before the session starts.
- Article 2 (Payment)
- Payment is calculated on approved hours that have passed quality checks. We tell you the rate in advance when you apply, and we do not change it to your disadvantage afterwards.
- Sessions rejected because of an equipment fault or an error in the task sheet are counted as approved hours.
- Article 3 (Likeness and voice)
- Face and voice are separate consent items. If you do not consent, we assign you only to egocentric rigs and never to simultaneous third-person sessions.
- Even where you have consented, you may choose whether your face is blurred before distribution.
- Article 4 (Third parties and overseas transfer)
- Data is provided to robotics companies and research institutions. Under Articles 17 and 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act, we take separate consent for third-party provision and for overseas transfer.
- We disclose in advance the type of recipient and the destination country, and we do not provide beyond the scope you consented to.
- Article 5 (Withdrawal)
- You may withdraw at any time. On withdrawal your session is excluded from every version distributed thereafter.
- However, data cannot technically be removed from the weights of a model that was already trained on it before your withdrawal. We disclose this limit in advance, and only consent given with that understanding is valid.
- A single email is enough to withdraw, and we do not ask your reason.
- Article 6 (Safety)
- Tasks that carry risk — rescue, transfer, fire extinguishers and the like — are captured only with a safety supervisor present.
- You may stop a session at any time, and the time up to the point you stopped is counted as approved hours.
What withdrawal cannot undo
If you withdraw, your session is removed from every version distributed thereafter. That much we can promise without reservation.
But data cannot be removed from the weights of a model that has already trained on it. It is technically impossible. We believe consent obtained while concealing this is void. So we say it at the application stage, and accept consent only from someone who understands it.
A single email is enough to withdraw, and we do not ask your reason. Not making the process complicated is part of the promise too.
