Privacy Policy
Aeffer captures the movement of people's bodies. That is personal data, and some of it may qualify as sensitive data. So the finalised policy is published only after legal review, before the first capture.

What we already hold to, before the final text
The standards below are already in force ahead of the finalised policy. The final policy will not be looser than these.
- What we collect
- Joint positions and rotations, hand pose, inertial signals and egocentric video. Face and voice are separate consent items, so if you do not consent to them we do not capture them.
- Why we collect it
- To build and supply datasets for training humanoid robot motion. We do not use it for anything outside that purpose.
- How long we keep it
- Until the contributor withdraws or the agreement ends. On withdrawal we exclude the data from versions distributed thereafter.
- Provision to third parties
- We take separate consent under Article 17 of the Personal Information Protection Act. We tell you in advance what type of recipient is involved, and we do not provide beyond the scope you consented to.
- Transfer overseas
- When providing data to an overseas buyer we disclose the destination country and the purpose, then take separate consent.
- Your rights as a data subject
- You may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, and withdrawal of consent. A single email is enough, and we do not ask your reason.
- Disclosure of a technical limit
- Data cannot be removed from the weights of a model that has already been trained on it. We always disclose this limit before taking consent.
